Contacts are found everywhere in electrical and electronic products – from the smallest terminal in an in-ear hearing aid to large power contacts in high voltage switch gears.
The contact is often made by a carrier material (e.g. brass) on which you mount or add a precious metal to optimise the contact in function and durability.
You can have strips, stamped parts or components, all precision-plated with precious metals or alloys – normally custom-designed.
